Ambush off Route 43

UNITY Associate Valravn learned from her network of corvids of a location fifty miles west of Mount Yaak that had at least one VIPER symbol present. Note that because she is communicating with corvids, GPS coordinates and specifics other than what might interest avians such as ravens and crows, were all that was available. However, she was able to guide a VTOL craft to the location along with metahumans Merx and Plasma Bolt. 


Valravn lead them to a gravel road eight miles off of Service Road 43. There was a pile of six bodies and a Semi and Trailer mostly buried in the hillside. The seats inside the semi-truck were burned and the glass scorched. Residue has been sent to Butte for analysis. The tires on the truck are slashed and the engine punctured from several angles, rendering it completely inoperable.

Initial investigation by PRIMUS indicates the following:

• The six bodies are all men.
• All have remnants of VIPER armor. Considering the armor was not removed before they were burned indicates the attackers acted in haste.
• Three of the bodies are not intact and seemed to have been cut apart. One was decapitated.
• Tire tracks indicate two other semi trucks. PRIMUS drones are searching the area and Valravn continues to monitor her 'contacts' in Montana.

Merx used her telekinesis to pull the trailer from the hillside, while Plasma Bolt and Valravn  cut a way into the bottom. Initial photos showed two large turret arrays, similar in configuration to the Zeta ray used by Dr. Destroyer.

A semi-trailer was sent from Spokane with spare tires to pick up the trailer after a technical team determines it is safe enough to travel.

DNA samples from the corpses were sent to PRIMUS facilities in Seattle, Washington while the bodies themselves were helivacced to Butte, Montana for forensic investigation.
